RELEVANT ASPECTS FOR INVESTMENT

National regulatory, economic and logistical environment.

Public policy to encourage the production of green hydrogen

As part of this policy, the Special Incentive Scheme for the Production of Low-Carbon Hydrogen (Rehidro) and the Low-Carbon Hydrogen Development Programme (PHBC) were created. The Federal Law establishes objectives and incentives, which are guided by environmental and market principles, correlating with the provision of tax benefits.

Brazil has an economic growth projection of around 3.7% for the year 2024, according to data from the International Monetary Fund – IMF. This favours an increase in investment, which will have a positive impact on the country’s socio-economic order, and could open the way for development projects, benefiting populations that currently suffer from a lack of infrastructure and opportunities to enter the labour market.

Privileged geographical position, located on the northeastern coast, close to the European continent and the Americas, with the existence of a large port complex in the area.

Possibility of investments using mechanisms that make sustainable finance viable, adding value to the businesses involved. There are incentives for investments in the Brazilian banking system, both public and private, with a specialised portfolio for the sector.
